Designer e scrittrice, Marta Lavinia Carboni è cresciuta tra Londra, Parigi, il mare di Lerici, le montagne della Val d’Ayas e Milano, dove vive e lavora. Con un forte interesse per i pattern,

i materiali e l’uso del colore, dopo un Master in Design alla Scuola Politecnica di Design, fa pratica nello studio di Eliana Maria Lorena ed è ricercatrice al Politecnico di Milano e alla Domus Academy. Nel 2008 apre il proprio studio, sviluppando progetti per diverse aziende e realizzando edizioni limitate con

il proprio marchio, m-l-c. Nel corso degli anni partecipa a mostre

e fiere in Italia e all’estero. Collabora inoltre con diverse riviste

di design (Elle Decor Italia, Living Corriere, Vogue Italia).

Nel 2022 compie quarant’anni.

 

Writer-designer Marta Lavinia Carboni was raised in London, Paris, the sea of Lerici, the mountains of the Val d'Ayas and Milan, where she now lives and works. With a strong interest

in patterns, materials, and the use of colour, after a Masters

in Design at the Polytechnic School of Design, she then

practiced in the studio of Eliana Maria Lorena and was a researcher at Milan Polytechnic and at Domus Academy.

In 2008 she opened her own studio, developing projects for various companies and making limited editions with her own brand, m-l-c. In recent years she has participated in exhibitions and fairs in Italy and abroad. She is also a contributing editor to several design magazines (Elle Decor Italia, Living Corriere, Vogue Italia). In 2022 she turns forty.
